Why the stares and laughs???
One of the things that come with being disabled is kids staring at you, and some times even adults (mainly young adults a.k.a teens). I can understand kids staring, but I really don't understand why teenagers stare. What's so weird about a person walking around in a super cool metal thing that has four wheels, that you can do some pretty awesome tricks in? If I was them I'd be like, "Dude! That's awesome! I want one of those!". And why laugh??? I was walking through Costco today and a little boy saw me and laughed at me, that's when I knew that I had to do more than just post online about Cerebral Palsy Awareness. Kids need to learn not to laugh and stare at people that are different, because it is not okay at all. Today is March 1st, which means it's Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. So wear green!!! I'm actually kinda tempted to post a daily fact about CP for 31 days (the month of March) if I can find enough, haha. I don't know...but...if I get 10+ people to 'like' (Facebook does count) this post or comments on it then I'll do daily facts about CP for March or something fun!
I would love to see your 31 days of facts.
