"Life ain't always beautiful" -Gary Allan
We all have things that we go through that may not be that awesome. But we have friends who pick us up when we fall, and walk with us through whatever we're dealing with. Hi, I'm Kelcie, or some know me better as Dreamer (that story will come later), and some times I go by Kelcie L if there's more than one Kelsey(Kelcie) in my classes. I have Cerebral Palsy, I'm a junior in high school, and I'm the youngest of four kids. I'm a Christian. I consider myself an athlete, I love horseback riding, dancing, swimming, and tons of other things. I have overcomed many, many things, so many I think I lost count, haha! Not everyday is easy, especially with CP, but I have a ton of friends who pick me up and walk with me. They are more than friends because they're my family, and there are so many reasons why. We pick on each other, we laugh at each other, we're crazy people together! The beginning of the year was really challenging, I fell and tore a ligament in my right pinky. I had like two splints, a half cast covered by a splint, a full cast, a hard ring splint, tons of soft ring splints, a whole lot of tape, most splints, lots of wraps, and yeah, you get the point. So it was really hard, I couldn't pick up a lot of stuff that required two hands. I did not plan on having to learn how to dance with one hand, or not swimming for two or three months, or not riding my horse for months and being stuck inside was awful! But I had friends to talk to so I wouldn't get that bored, and when I needed help moving bigger things, they were there. Of course, nobody can make it easier to walk in a walker with splints/a cast. Like Gary Allan says, "life ain't always beautiful", but God gives us friends to make our challenges a little easier! My friends are amazing and I am so blessed to have them in my life!
